CCAC & the Energy Innovation Center Institute enter into historic memorandum of understanding

Community College of Allegheny County President Dr. Quintin B. Bullock and Energy Innovation Center Institute Board Chair William Recker, together with members of the CCAC Board of Trustees and the EIC and college administrations joined together to

witness the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the college and the center on Wednesday, October 29, at 9:00 a.m. in Room 107 in Byers Hall on Allegheny Campus. The memorandum establishes the intent of both CCAC and the EIC to collaborate so as to offer expanded educational opportunities and workforce development training at the center’s LEED Platinum certified facility located in Pittsburgh’s Hill District.

“CCAC is pleased to partner with the Energy Innovation Center to expand the reach of the college’s cutting-edge educational and workforce development training opportunities with the goal of engaging and providing industry-driven training to a broader student base and the surrounding communities,” says CCAC President Dr. Quintin B. Bullock. “With science and technology rapidly changing the landscape of today’s business & industry, manufacturing and energy sectors, it is imperative that access to training for careers in these high-demand fields is available to all members of our society.”

The EIC will play a significant role in the cultivation of the power of our natural resources combined with the strength of our region’s well-recognized work ethic to provide a skilled workforce in sustainable careers.”
